Operator (Network Operation Center)

To monitor and report network faults in accordance with established procedures and timelines. Document and update faults status using existing ticket system. Provide reports as required. Provide basic troubleshooting and first level support to technical staff.


  • Proactive monitoring of all Emergency Management Systems (EMS) related to the Network Department
  • Input faults into ticket system
  • Report faults in accordance with current procedures
  • Proactively follow up on faults until resolution and in accordance with current procedures
  • Provide required reports
  • Answer phone calls and work/delegate incoming e-mails as needed


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-driven and motivated
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Proven ability to prioritize with a sense of urgency
  • Comfortable operating Windows Operating System
  • Basic computer literacy with spreadsheets and word processing
  • Team player with ability to multi-task and efficiently meet deadlines
  • Ability to collect data, compile information, and prepare reports


  • Associates Degree
  • Associates Degree in IT would be an asset
  • 1-2 years in a technical support related role
